Privacy Policy

1. What this application is
Random Factoids is an automated content tool that generates short factual videos and publishes them to the operator's own YouTube channel. This policy explains what data the application collects, uses, and stores.
2. Data the application accesses and stores
To publish videos, the application uses the YouTube Data API under an OAuth authorization granted by the account owner. As a result it:
- Stores an OAuth access/refresh token in a local, private configuration file on the operator's own server, so that it can upload videos to the channel.
- Reads basic channel metadata (channel name and ID) of the authorized channel.
- Uploads video files to that channel with the title and description generated for each video.
The application does not read other channels' data, does not read private videos, messages, playlists other than the operator's own uploads, analytics, or any user data of third parties.
3. How data is used and shared
Data is used solely to publish videos as described above. It is not sold, rented, or shared with any third party. No advertising networks, analytics trackers, or cookies are used on this site or inside the application.
4. Data retention and deletion
The OAuth token is retained only while the channel owner wants the application to continue publishing. The owner may revoke access at any time at Google Account Permissions, at which point the application can no longer access the channel. The local configuration file may also be deleted by the operator at any time.
5. YouTube API Services
This application uses the YouTube API Services. By using the application and authorizing it, the channel owner agrees to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Please review Google's Privacy Policy to understand how Google handles your information.
6. Contact
Contact for any privacy question can be sent via the operator's support email as registered with the Google Cloud project hosting this application.
